Yes, we take great pride in the well-being of our chickens, ensuring they are well-cared for at every stage. 1st Silkies cannot be "free range" they are too delicate, and prone to predation. 2nd our babies are raised indoors/outdoors, handled daily [yes even the adults]. 3rd our babies have a 400 square foot double wired, mesh covered enclosure, and we still lock them in their coops every night [physically, we do not rely on automatic doors]. 

Yes, we take great pride in the health of our chickens. We use non-medicated chick grower [medicated brands cause vitamin deficiencies in silkies], we quarantine all new birds, and we use Sweeten Creek Animal and Bird Hospital for conditions outside our ability to care.

No. We will NOT ship our babies. We have seen too many tragic deaths of babies shipped days old, left on door steps, frozen, and starved. We don't let this happen to our babies. We would prefer to miss a sale, stop incubating, and just get out of the hobby generally than ship our babies. You are welcome to meet us in the Asheville/Leicester NC area for pick up.
